School Based Health Center

Hometown Health Center is dedicated to children’s health. HHC established a School Based Health Center (SBHC) for all students of RSU19. The SBHC is located at 291 Williams Road, Newport, ME 04930. RSU19 covers the towns of Corinna, Dixmont, Etna, Hartland, Newport, Palmyra, Plymouth, and St. Albans.

School-Based Health Center hours: Tuesday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

All RSU19 children are eligible to get on-site medical, dental, and behavioral health care at the SBHC.  The child does not need to be a Hometown Health Center patient to enroll in this program.

When your child is enrolled at the SBHC, they are able to get the care they need at Nokomis Regional High during clinic hours. This saves you time driving to or from appointments, and your child is able to return quickly to class.

To enroll in the SBHC program, call us at 207-368-5189. We will be happy to help you.  This service is even available to students who don’t feel well enough to attend school and are absent!

We treat all this and more…

  • Asthma
  • Strep Throat
  • Cough, Fever, or Cold
  • Acne or Rashes
  • Sprains and Strains

  • COVID-19 Testing
  • Well-Child/ Annual Exams
